Were did this great adventure begin?

Hi, I’m Ingi, creator of Loopie World! I’m a mother to a beautiful little boy named Aaron and wife to Graham, the founder of Freedom Studios South Africa. I’ve been writing since I was a little girl, my first story I wrote and sold was about a Hedgehog called Hedgehog.

I created Loopie World in 2006 so that parents could have a collection of Bed-time stories to read to their children, full of fun, loveable characters and enough silliness to generate a few giggles!

The stories of the Loopies are based on the antics of my Chihuahua doggies, Leechie and Nacho, as well as huge dollops of “Ingi Imagination”. My husband, Graham, often says he is sure that there is Carnival Music playing on the inside of my head, complete with monkeys on unicycles and juggling clowns – he’s not far off!

The Loopies live in the picturesque town of Acersville, which is surrounded by seven seas. The Beach the Loopies visit often is Brenton Beach where Wusky has his Beach Cabana Café, where he serves drinks and light lunches. Wusky has his own band of pirate waiters, whom he discovered at the bottom of the sea, while they were hiding in their undersea hideout ship and piratey home, The Sea Rogue.

Moving toward the middle of the town and away from the beach is Sentinel Hill, located in Teak Tree Park, which is just outside of Acer Square. Acer Square is where you will find Crumpet’s Bakery, which is a tiny quaint coffee café with chairs and tables that are set out on the pavement over-looking the fountain in the middle of the Square. Crumpet owns this bakery, and of course bakes all the delicious treats you’ll find inside!

There are many Loopies that populate Acersville, namely; Rufus and Ruff, two handymen brothers, Pancake, who incidentally is always hungry! Granny, Leechie and Pascal. Pilot, Chelsea, George the postman, Tubblie the town’s very own practical joker, Professor Astro, Mayor Piney and his wife Dot. Air the air glider, whose character is based on that of my son Aaron, oh and don’t forget Mango and Sherbet the twins!

So I invite you into my Loopie World where there are many more Loopies just waiting to get to know you. Some who haven’t even been imagined yet! But stick around, they might just pop out of my head long enough for you to meet them!
