WUZZLES

As a child I used to watch a Disney Cartoon Series “The Wuzzles” 1985 – 1987 these characters influence me a lot to this day! I even call our dog Fudge by an affectionate nickname Eagle Beagle who is the policeman in the Wuzzles Series. (You can look out for Fudge the policeman in future Loopie Stories!)

STORY TELLER

These fortnightly Story Magazines published by Marshall Cavendish in the 1980′s were a HUGE influence! They created a love of reading and writing in me that has never died! I really hope that my Loopie Stories can inspire young readers today to love stories and reading as much as these Story Teller Magazines have helped me! I had many favourite stories in these series but my favourite of all has to be Gobbilino the Witch’s Cat! GOBBOLINO THE WITCH’S CAT

Out of all the stories in the Story Teller Series by Mashall Cavendish this has to be my ALL TIME favourite story! The story spans the entire Story Teller Magazine series (about 24 magazines in each set: Story Teller 1 & Story Teller 2) and goes on to tell the life of a very sweet little cat who had the misfortune of being born a witch’s cat. Horrified, the witch throws him out for having blue eyes and a white front paw! His story thus begins, following his travels. He becomes a different type of cat, from a Witch’s Cat, to a Ship’s Cat, a Show Cat and even a Knight’s Cat, but all Gobbolino wants to be is a Kitchen Cat. Oh how I cherish Gobblino and his adventures! Sadly though, I have never heard his full story as I only owned a few of these Story Teller Magazines, but my favourite story of Gobbolino is the one embedded below, Gobbolino the Knight’s Cat, I just love how he sums up his life at the end of the story and trots off out of the forrest to find a new home, and of course, the theme song brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it! Thank you Marshall Cavendish for this timeless classic!
